How To LEVEL UP Your Portfolio
Capture & Create Newsletter by Biokit

Hi creator friends,
Another Sunday, another Capture & Create newsletter ✌️
It’s the end of the month!
Time to look back and look ahead.
🆕 Recent Biokit Updates
✅ ‘Past Projects’ is now ‘Case Studies’ on your dashboard.
The feature still works the same, however the layout on your portfolio also got an upgrade!
✏️ And you can now also change the title of this section! We recommend to mention ‘Case Studies’ though, as most brands will be looking for this in your portfolio!

✅ This week we’ve also added the ‘Spoken Language’ feature.
In ‘Your Profile’, you can select the languages that you speak, or use in your content.

💡 Portfolio Tip
Imagine you’re a brand, about to work with a new content creator. You feel like you’re taking a risk, as you don’t know how the content will perform.
If you’re the creator, then it’s your job to take away the feeling of the brand taking a risk. How to do this? Show that your earlier projects were a success! 💯
Do this by showing Case Studies or Analytics in your portfolio. Brands prefer creators who can proof that their content gets them results.
So after working with a brand, ALWAYS ask for the campaign results!
Why?
1. It shows the current brand that you’re serious about analyzing your content
2. You will have data that you can add to your portfolio, in order to impress other brands.
How to LEVEL UP your Biokit portfolio:
Here are some terms that brands LOVE to see in your Case Studies.
➡️ ROAS: Return on ad spent.
This is calculated by dividing the total campaign revenue and the cost of the campaign. So when you have a ROAS of 1, the brand managed to break even.
But of course you should try getting the highest ROAS you can get, and mention that in your portfolio! Although there is no right or wrong ROAS, I think your minimum should be 2.5, and with everything higher than a 4, you can be really proud of yourself!

➡️ ROI: Return on investment
Is mentioned in percentages. 0% means a break even.
So everything above 0 is good, but the higher, the better.
It is calculated like this: ( Return on investment / Investment ) x 100%
If you get payed to deliver content for $200, and the campaign revenue is $1000, the ROI is 200/1000 = 0.2 × 100% = 20%
➡️ Analytics
Do you have great analytics on a specific piece of content?
Definitely worth mentioning!
For instance, a video that got a lot of comments or views…
➡️ Be creative!
There is no right or wrong here. Just analyze your data and write anything down that pops out! You could also choose to share your Conversion rate, average order value, or reach.
You should add them as ‘Custom Insights’ in ‘Case Studies’, like this:

🔜 Next Month:
Every creator is unique. And so should every portfolio be.
Right now, different Biokit portfolios still look very much alike. We talked about this in the team before, and we also heard you guys talk about it lately! So let’s do something about it. Upgrading the customization possibilities will be our goal for February 🚀
What we’re working on right now:
End of January:
📽️Add your video intro
February:
🎨 More design options for your portfolio background
👨💼 Adding new templates for the ‘Your Profile’ section
🔄 Drag and drop to reorder videos / images / brands
We would love to hear your thoughts about the new customization plans.
What customization options should be added to the list?
Let us know in the Whatsapp Community!
See you there! And till next week ✌️
