Make Your Pitches STAND OUT! 🙌

Capture & Create Newsletter by Biokit

This is the biggest mistake I see creators make.

It limits them in their potential and success as a creator.

The majority of creators spends most of their time working on their content.

Which is good, especially when you’re starting out. It’s important to make as much hours as fast as possible, in order to create good content.

But most creators lose perspective doing this. They keep focusing on improving their content.

They forget that your content only has to be just above average in order to monetize it. If this is the case, you’ll be able to land enough brand deals to become financially independent, and become a content creator full time. And of course, the time for finetuning and perfectionism will come.

So prioritizing the right tasks will give you the possibility to grow from a part-time creator into a fulltime creator. The tactic is work hard, but also smart ;)

I hear you think: What is more important than my content!?
This is the answer: Outreach.

Most creators who start their brand deal journey think that if they have a beautiful Instagram feed, a good portfolio and post daily on Linkedin, the brands will come running to you.

I will never say that it’s impossible to have brands reaching out to you. But let me tell you: With my platform which has recently reached 200K total followers, I have never received any proposal from a brand that was really worth it. It was only free product this, free shipping that. Of course these deals are good to get started with, but they won’t get the bills paid.

So in order to land next level brand deals, you’ll need to write next level pitches. (So here I go again🤣) You need to practice your writing to get better at this.

If you don’t like doing outreach, you should:

Think about writing pitches like you think about writing content

Because while writing your pitches, you're also practicing your scriptwriting skills! It’s definitely a win-win to invest enough time in writing your pitches.

Copywriting frameworks

If you struggle with writing on a regular basis, I would highly recommend reading a bit about ‘copywriting frameworks’. There is a lot to be found about it on the internet.

I find using frameworks really helpful with keeping consistent in my writing. Hope it helps you too!

Here is one framework that could help you with writing pitches:

The PASTOR writing framework:

  • Problem: Name your client’s problem

  • Amplify: Point out why the problem is particularly bad

  • Solution: Describe how to solve the problem

  • Transformation: Demonstrate your credentials how you have helped solve other clients’ problems

  • Offer: Describe your specific service offerings here

Start with the ending
If you want to create a great story, you should start with the ending. Do this with your pitches too! Think about the question that you ask, it should be a no-brainer for the brand to say YES to! Knowing exactly what you’re about to offer will make writing your pitches easier.

With a good CTA, you won’t grab attention.

Attention is the art of hooks and headlines. You need to GRAB it. If this sucks, people won’t read the full text which you put a lot of effort into.

A great hook, mostly consists of these 3 factors:

Relevance: How relevant is this to the readers every day life? Use resolved pains or potential benefits. What will the reader gain?

Awareness: Is it too simple or too complex for the level of awareness that you’re aiming at?

Effort: How fast will they receive the result (education, entertainment or inspiration)? Is it easy to get?

Not all 3 have to be in your hook, but consider them all!

Use the most potent ones.
